LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

The most modern manufacturing facilities permit to obtain the IZOVOL© rock-wool products with special improved properties ensuring a maximum functional effectiveness, safety and reliability of the final products. The low thermal conductivity of the IZOVOL© rock-wool is one of its most important properties and depends principally on the medium fibre thickness. The know-how of the IZOVOL© products has allowed to fabricate thinner basalt-rock fibres; consequently, they are more elastic and more resistive to a disintegration.
The IZOVOL© mineral-wool warmth-keeping products are notable for their high stable physical & mechanical characteristics and have a low thermal conductivity under field conditions. The use of the IZOVOL© materials for constructional purposes allows to minimize the heat transfer between warm and cold sides, improving the thermo-technical efficacy of the structures in this way considerably.
The use of the IZOVOL© materials saves costs for heating the objects and projects, and those for exploitation of buildings and structures substantially.
As for the thermo-technical characteristics, the IZOVOL© exceeds traditional materials several times. To ensure a heat resistance as high as that of the IZOVOL© with a thickness of 100 mm (and a density of 100 kg/m3), the following wall thickness is required: 1,170 mm of that from the hollow ceramic bricks; 1,600 mm of that from the clay bricks; 2,000 mm of that from the silica bricks, and of a dry log-wall 255 mm thick.

WATER-REPELLENT PROPERTY

When protecting and guarding the buildings and structures (walls, roofs, foundations), an unfavourable factor is a destructive exposure of moisture penetrating thereinto. Non-hygroscopic IZOVOL basalt products resist such an exposure excellently. Improving water-repellent properties is achieved by means of adding special preparations in the course of the IZOVOL fabrication.

The IZOVOL thermal insulation is a constituent part of protecting and guarding structures whereas the reliability and durability of a heat-insulating material depend on the water absorption which does not exceed 1 per cent of the IZOVOL volume. This is much more lower than the indices of the majority of the materials used for heat-insulating purposes.
When choosing heat-insulating materials for various branches of industry or for individual construction projects, one has to take into account the durability of a warmth-keeping product, in the first place. Owing to a happy concord of unique properties, the IZOVOL material fabricated from the natural basalt rock is considered to be most prospective. The IZOVOL product is the most stable heat-insulating material, proof against external actions, and retaining its service properties for a long time.

When performing experiments (2,360 cycles) as well as observations of the fiber structure and the binder adhesion thereto, stability of the basic technical features of the rock wool and plates on its basis permitted to define a prolonged (more than 50 years) service life of the rock wool in the temperate cold climatic zone.

The «BÊÒÌ» Works’ experts have modeled a uniquely balanced elemental fiber composition at the molecular level which allowed to obtain an optimum and stable acidity modulus index in consequence of which the durability of the heat-keeping «IZOVOL®» material is increased substantially.

HIGH WATER VAPOUR PERMEABILITY

High water vapor permeability of the IZOVOL rock-wool products is a question of paramount importance. Excess moisture content in the premises can freely penetrate through the fibrous structure of the IZOVOL plates whereas the condensed humidity evaporates from their surfaces without congregating across the whole width of the warmth-keeping layer. This merit of the IZOVOL products is exerting a favorable influence on the humidity regime of the structural elements.

IMPROVED FIRE-RESISTANCE

High-quality natural stony materials which are the basis for manufacturing the IZOVOL finished products belong to the category of non-combustible materials! In case of a conflagration, the IZOVOL warmth-keeping layers retain their physical & mechanical properties and fire-protective capacities in full. When compared with the majority of heat-insulating materials (glass fiber, slag wool, etc.), the upper temperature limit of using the IZOVOL rock-wool is significantly higher. The IZOVOL basalt fibers withstand a temperature exceeding 1,114 0Ñ, without melting.

EXCELLENT SOUND-PROOFING

The IZOVOL mineral-wool heat-insulation is the best hindrance on the way of sound waves and prevents absolutely their propagation which contributes to a comfortable staying in premises and effects favorably the people’s state of health.

ECOLOGICAL SAFETY

Owing the unique properties of the IZOVOL high-effective warmth-keeping products, their use ensures an ideal comfort inside the premises, improves functional characteristics and housing hygiene and, hence, upgrades life quality as a whole.

CHEMICAL STABLENESS

The IZOVOL rock-wool products are not aggressive. They possess chemical stableness and resist attacks by organic substances (solvents, acids, alkali, etc.); they protect the surfaces isolated by them from corrosion and correspond in full to sanitary & hygienic standards are notable for the stability of their volume and shape; they resist attacks by domestic fungi, microorganisms and rodents; they are innocuous for the health of communities.

The IZOVOL rock-wool products are easily worked by sawing out /filing out, by cutting with a knife, and are good for istalling.
